IB Business Management G10 Course
Introduction: The Business Management Grade 10 course is designed to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of business management theories, as well as their ability to apply a range of tools and techniques. To give students an understanding of what to expect from the Diploma Program Business Management Course students learn to analyse, discuss and evaluate business activities at local, national and international levels. The course covers a range of organizations from all sectors, as well as the socio-cultural and economic contexts in which those organizations operate.
Description: The course covers the key characteristics of business organization and environment and the business functions of human resource management, finance and accounts, marketing and operations management. Links between the topics are central to the course.
Assessment: All Business Management work in Grade 10 is assessed against the MYP assessment criteria, using the 1-8 scale. Each assessment piece is accompanied by a rubric or other assessment instrument. Assessment takes place in the form of regular formative and two summative tasks per unit.
